Inclusive Fashion Redefined: The No Limbits Story

Introducing No Limbits Adaptive Apparel: Elevating Style, Inspiring Confidence, and Redefining the Future of Inclusive Fashion.

Adaptive apparel is becoming a beacon of empowerment, and we are shining a spotlight on No Limbits, a brand that's redefining the landscape of adaptive fashion. In this post, we explore the innovation, passion, and commitment behind the scenes of No Limbit.

Behind the Seams: How No Limbits Came to Be

Like many of the brands featured here, No Limbits was inspired by a personal journey, evolving into a company committed to fostering inclusivity through the transformative lens of adaptive fashion. In 2018, Erica Cole’s life was changed when she lost her leg in a car accident.

The stark reality of inaccessibility hit her at the start of each day, when the simple act of getting dressed became a daunting challenge. Faced with limited options that compromised her sense of self, Erica set out on a mission to redefine adaptive fashion. A year of relentless development, 300 insightful interviews with amputees and prosthetists, and three incubators later, No Limbits unveiled its perfect jeans for amputees.

No Limbits founder Erica Cole dressed in a green t-shirt, black pants and black heels standing on the set of Shark Tank about to pitch. There is a screen with her logo, and a rack with her amputee pants in light wash, dark wash, black, and khaki

What started as a pant company for amputees has grown into a mission to build an adaptive clothing empire that bases designs on specific needs of the disability community. In 2002 Erica was featured on Shark Tank and received a $100,000 investment and she has since relased new collections that include limited-dexterity pants and clothing for people with sensory processing disorders. As No Limbits continues to grow and expand, they are committed to producing solutions-driven styles that provide comfort, confidence, and independence

No Limbits Adaptive Styles for Comfort and Ease

No Limbits Wheelchair Pant

The No Limbits Wheelchair Pant is available for both men and women at a retail price of $75. These pants offer four stylish options: light wash, dark wash, khaki, and black (currently unavailable for women). Designed with side zippers and ring pulls, they ensure easy dressing, while the zippers on both sides allow the pants to fold down for toileting and catheter maintenance. With a low-rise front and a higher back, these pants provide a comfortable fit with stretchy fabric and a waistband lined with extra soft knit fabric. They also feature a hidden catheter loop and no back pockets.

Users generally have a positive experience, appreciating the quality and comfort, although some note that the zippers may require assistance, as you'll need one hand to hold the fabric together and another hand to pull the ring.

The Unlimbited Pant

This flagship product of No Limbits, created by the brand’s founder who has a prosthetic leg, offers a stylish solution for anyone with lower limb differences. The Unlimbited Pant retails at $70 and is available in light wash, dark wash, khaki, and black (currently unavailable for women).

Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the Unlimbited Pant features hidden zippers in the inseams for easy dressing and undressing. Reinforced knees and high-quality zippers ensure durability, while the stretchy fabric provides all-day comfort. The fit is thoughtfully designed to accommodate prosthetics, leg braces, knee braces, AFOs, and lymphedema.

Not only are these jeans practical and functional, but they also receive rave reviews for their comfort and ease of use with customers appreciating the thoughtfulness that goes into every aspect of the Unlimbited Pant.

Users report that the stretch and fit are great, and the pants are quite comfortable. They also mention small tweaks that would make the pants even better for people with limited dexterity, citing the pockets don’t always close easily and it can be difficult to line up the front seam properly.
